A much-awaited launch, DOONYA showcased its prototype at the Singapore Design Festival 2021. The occasion was graced by Ministers, foreign dignitaries, professionals and the public.

Located at the entrance courtyard, this outdoor installation aims to encourage one to think of diverse design solutions with social impact. Visitors witnessed the ease of transforming the structure into a shop by day and home by night. They were often surprised when we shared with them the fact: a standard 6mX3m unit can be flat-packed, transported to site and assembled by just 4 men - all in a single day!

Importantly, the system allows for innumerable permutations that can be configured to suit any style.

Highly customisable to suit the use-case and target audience, DOONYA presents an affordable housing solution for post-disaster areas, the urban poor in “slums”, or homeless housing in developed countries.

To reach more people at a larger scale, the team at DOONYA is currently fundraising for the existing pipeline of projects, and also expanding their network of partners. For further enquires, please do not hesitate to contact Rinkoo at rinkoo.bhowmik@gmail.com
